Find Your Plan

Which plan is right for you?

Match your situation to the protection that makes the most sense.

Scenario 01

I want maximum peace of mind

🏆Pre-Owned Vehicle Protection Plan — Reserve Level
Exclusionary coverage means essentially everything is covered except a specific list of excluded items. If you want to stop worrying, this is your plan.
Scenario 02

I drive daily and want solid mid-range coverage

⚙️Powertrain Plus Vehicle Protection Plan
Covering your engine, transmission, drivetrain, all major electrical components, and your A/C system protects you from the most common and expensive failures a daily driver faces.
Scenario 03

I have a hybrid or electric vehicle

Pre-Owned Vehicle Protection Plan — Reserve or Estate
Only this plan explicitly covers hybrid/electric drive components and the high-voltage battery. Reserve covers the battery; Estate covers the drive motor, generator, power inverter, and motor controller.
Scenario 04

I'm on a tight budget

🛡️Powertrain Protection Plan
Protecting your engine, transmission, and drivetrain safeguards you from the repairs most likely to be financially devastating. Even on a budget, this critical protection matters.
Scenario 05

I want flexible tier options

⚖️Vehicle Protection Plan — Choose Your Tier
With four distinct tiers (Essential → Basic → Comprehensive → Exclusionary), this plan gives you the most granular control over coverage and cost.
Scenario 06

My vehicle has higher mileage (over 125k)

📍Powertrain Plus Plan (Seals & Gaskets available up to 150k miles)
The Powertrain Plus plan allows the optional Seals & Gaskets add-on for vehicles up to 150,000 miles — 25,000 more than other plans.
Scenario 07

I want coverage starting when factory warranty ends

📅Pre-Owned Vehicle Protection Plan — Warranty Remaining Option
The Warranty Remaining Option lets your coverage begin precisely when your original manufacturer's warranty expires — no gap, no overlap.
Scenario 08

I use my vehicle for business or work

🔧Any plan with Business Use Surcharge
All four plans offer a Business Use surcharge option for route work, delivery, hauling, agricultural use, and similar applications — as long as the vehicle isn't part of a fleet.
Common Questions

Your questions, answered

Everything you've been wondering about vehicle protection plans — sourced directly from the plan brochures.

It depends on the plan and tier you choose. At the most basic level (Powertrain), you're covered for your engine, transmission, and drivetrain. At the highest levels (Reserve/Exclusionary), coverage extends to virtually every mechanical system except a specific excluded list. See the comparison table above for a full breakdown.

Across all plans, the following are explicitly not covered: brake drums, brake pads, and brake rotors; exhaust pipes, mufflers, and catalytic converters; and body and trim items. Failures caused by misuse or lack of proper maintenance are also excluded.Always review your specific service contract for the complete exclusions list.

The Powertrain Plus and Powertrain Protection plans explicitly offer both a $0 deductible option and a "disappearing deductible" option.⚠️ Deductible details for the Pre-Owned and Vehicle Protection plans are not specified in the brochures. Please ask us for current options — they vary by tier and contract selection. [BROCHURE DETAIL NEEDED]

Yes — all four plans include 24/7 towing (150-mile radius), flat tire change, emergency fuel delivery (2 gallons, you pay for fuel), battery jump service, key lockout service (up to $100/occurrence, replacement keys not included), and rental car reimbursement ($30/day, up to $150 per claim — requires overnight shop stay).

It depends on the plan. All plans offer seals & gaskets as an optional add-on, with mileage limits at contract purchase ranging from 125,000 to 150,000 miles (Powertrain Plus has the highest limit at 150k). At the Vehicle Protection Plan's Comprehensive tier and above, seals & gaskets are automatically included for vehicles under 125,000 miles. Minor fluid seepage is not a covered failure under any plan.

No. These plans cover breakdowns that occur after the contract begins. A "breakdown" is defined as the failure of a covered part under normal use — it does not include pre-existing conditions or damage present at the time of purchase.[BROCHURE DETAIL NEEDED — Specific waiting periods, if any, are not listed in the brochures. Please confirm at time of purchase.]

The brochures note that breakdowns caused by "lack of proper maintenance" are not covered. Staying current with manufacturer-recommended maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, scheduled services) is important to maintaining your coverage.[BROCHURE DETAIL NEEDED — Specific documentation requirements not described. Please ask at time of purchase.]

When your vehicle breaks down, the plan arranges towing to the nearest qualified repair facility. For rental car reimbursement, the vehicle must be kept at the repair facility overnight and have a failure that would cause further damage if driven.[BROCHURE DETAIL NEEDED — Specific claim steps not detailed in brochures. Contact Protective Asset Protection at 1-800-826-3207 or speak with us at the dealership.]

The brochures reference "qualified repair facilities" but do not specify whether any licensed shop qualifies or whether an authorized facility is required.[BROCHURE DETAIL NEEDED — Please confirm with us or contact Protective at 1-800-826-3207.]

Transferability is not addressed in the brochures reviewed.[BROCHURE DETAIL NEEDED — Please ask us at the dealership about transferability options.]
